The Usui System of Natural Healing - Reiki/Energy Work
My Energy Story: I've loved the healing power and subtleness of Reiki energy since I was introduced to it back in 1992. It's non-invasive and penetrating healing abilities were blatantly real to me as soon as I felt my Reiki practitioner's hands over my solar plexus. For me, it felt like a very low electrical current, that was pulsating subtly, and with quite a bit of heat, too.
I had been having some issues with personal power and she had recently been Attuned by her Reiki Teacher to practice at level II. She offered to do "some energy stuff" with my chakras. I was very familiar with the chakras and with chakras healing, because I had previously been doing much training in that area of the healing arts. I knew that I could spin and manipulate my energy centers to clear and heal them, and I had assisted others in learning this technique for their own benefit, and also had done numerous crystal healing sessions with various friends and acquaintances.
But when Karen put her hands over my solar plexus, and I began to feel that pulsating heat, that subtle electrical current running between her hands and my solar plexus, I was deeply amazed and wanted to know more. I began exploring other forms of energy work, as well as Reiki, and decided to become certified as a reiki practitioner in January of 1997.
I became certified to teach Reiki to others in June 2001, in Augusta, Maine, at The Reiki Center, with my Reiki Teacher, Vickie Walsh, RM, LMT. Since then, I've delved into polarity therapy, therapeutic touch, chakra and crystal healing, and other forms of energy healing. At the end of June 2008, I will be attending Qigong (pronounced chi-gong) seminar in Orlando for a four day energy retreat, which I am looking forward to immensely. You may call us at 561.670.3723 to confirm your registration! Unfortunately, we have no way of accepting credit card payments other than via Paypal at this time!
Please know that if you are passionate about learning Reiki energy, but you're not sure how you can pay for the classes, we don't turn people away because of lack of funds.
Perhaps we can think of a barter, or maybe we could discuss payment plans that are reasonable prior to the class you want to take. We're pretty open to exchanges! Please don't be fearful of asking about payment options :) Namasté.
Reiki Level I - This certification class is 6 - 8 hours in duration and includes a Level I manual, lunch, and table time for practice on each other. Once the course is completed, your certificate in Level I Reiki - The Usui System of Natural Healing, will be mailed to you within 2 weeks. In the meantime, you can benefit from your newfound key to health and well-being by treating yourself, your family, and your friends to this gentle, non-invasive, and extremely effective universal healing energy.
In this 6-8 hour class, you will learn the history of Reiki energy healing, and about the life of Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Usui Reiki Tradition. You'll be given a brief synopsis of the seven major Chakras, and briefly learn how each one "vibrates" to specific colors, sounds, and crystals.
You will learn how to achieve the meditative state of Hui Yin or "The Violet Breath." which is very beneficial in bringing yourself into a relaxed and receptive state, thereby allowing Reiki Energy to flow into and through you. You will also learn and be Attuned by your Reiki Teacher with one of the ancient esoteric symbols associated with Reiki Healing, so you can begin your individual Reiki Practice upon completion of this course.
You will be Attuned in the Usui/Tibetan Reiki Tradition. Please wear comfortable clothing, and come 15 minutes early for introductions.
Pre-requisite: Your willingness to open your heart to Universal energy healing.

Reiki Level II - This workshop is approximately 6 - 8 hours in duration. This class includes a Reiki II manual, lunch, and table time for practice on each other.
In this workshop, you will learn the hand positions for administering Reiki therapy, learn more about how the Chakra system and the meridians in our bodies correspond with specific colors, sounds, crystals, and organs, and learn the functions of the Chakras in relation to the endocrine glands and organs. You will also learn about the human Auric (energy) field and we will review how you enter into a state of being that may allow you to see this energy effectively. You will be Attuned to use two additional Reiki Symbols in your private practice with Reiki.
Upon completion of this class, you will receive your Reiki Level II Certificate. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time and wear comfortable clothing.
Pre-requisite: Reiki Level I (Usui System but it does not have to have been taken with me!)

Reiki Level III (Reiki Teacher) - The Reiki Teacher Certification class is a weekend (or two 6-8 hour days) of instruction and we will review Levels I and II in depth. This will prepare you to accept and understand the responsibilities of Reiki Teacher, in the Usui System of Natural Healing. This class includes a Reiki Teacher Manual, lunch, and time on the table with me and/or your classmates.
In this class, you will learn three (3) Usui/Tibetan symbols a Reiki Level III Teacher needs to Attune, teach, and to begin his or her personal journey to healing self and others with intent and guidance from the Universal Life Force. You will be Attuned with those symbols individually and privately.
You will demonstrate knowledge of all symbols learned in each level, state the powerful meanings and uses behind each one, and describe when and why each symbol would be used in a healing session, prior to receiving your Reiki Teacher Certificate. You may be asked to demonstrate an Attunement of any level of Reiki student, as well.
Certificates for Reiki Teacher will be presented upon completion of demonstrating full understanding of Usui/Tibetan Symbols, healing techniques, Attunements, and knowledge of the responsibilities of a Usui/Tibetan Reiki Teacher. You may be asked to return, at no fee to you, within a month of your class to demonstrate your ability to Attune and your knowledge of the history of Reiki.
Pre-requisite: Reiki Level I and II Certifications (You are not required to have taken each level with me, but you will need to present copies of your certifications to me at least one month prior to the class, in order for me to contact your prior Reiki Teacher for verification. I'm sorry. I do not accept online certifications as valid certifications.)
